Epic Stag Do Themes That Will Take Your Party from Mild to Wild

party weekend for the groom-to-be like to create a sense of uniformity or hilarity for an extra splash of fun.

A lot of the time, the theme of the stag event can relate to a hobby or interest the stag has, so it might be easier for some to choose the theme than others. Here, we will give you a few ideas for stag do themes to enhance your weekend and make it as memorable as possible.

Pub Golfers

Is the stag an avid golfer, or at least think he is, but is he “all the gear and no idea” instead? Well, dressing in stereotypical golf attire is a pastime of many who incorporate the dress code into a classic pub crawl. 18 holes (or pubs, in this case) sounds a lot, and many won't be able to manage it, so you could shorten the crawl to 9 pubs if you wish and have at least a drink at every spot.

Pub golf has been around for a long time, and people like to create their own rules for playing; the attire is merely to get everybody in jovial spirits and to feel involved.

Crap Shirt Night

There's nothing like embarrassing yourself as a group and feeling unashamedly enthused by it all. The most garish Hawaiian shirts, tops featuring children's cartoon characters, or a theme that will humiliate the stag immensely; an night means nobody vies to look the most stylish. You'll get kudos if you are the least stylish!

The Hunters and the Hunted

A stag, fox, or anything else a group can hunt is a common theme among stag parties. The entire group dresses extravagantly in hunting gear while the stag is the target. It'll be clear to everybody who's party this is and what the occasion most likely is.

If you're looking for something more contemporary, pin an attachable dart board to the stag and take turns aiming darts (soft ones, obviously, not the real ones) at the board as part of dares or games to consume more alcohol.

Local Inspiration

Is the stag party taking place internationally? If so, that's great! Nothing beats the excitement of heading to the airport at a silly time in the morning to get the party started. Depending on where you're heading, you might want to base your theme on the destination. For example, those flying to Munich for Oktoberfest can opt for lederhosen, the classic Bavarian outfit worn at such events. Or maybe Amsterdam is on the cards; while wooden clogs aren't comfortable, the clacking noise of your party walking down the street will be hilarious.

Consider local customs (without causing offence) and base your dress-up ideas on this to fit in with the locals… or show them that you're a tourist here for fun.
