Hen Weekends in the Scottish capital of Edinburgh are perfect for a UK getaway with your friends, a bit of Scottish culture and some serious partying at night! Edinburgh is a stunning medieval city packed full of restaurants, bars, shops, pubs and nightclubs and the Edinburgh Castle stands above the city, overlooking the streets and nightlife.
The city is easily accessible by road, train and plane so getting there is straightforward. There are many hotels, guesthouses and B&B’s in the area, so whatever your budget, you will certainly find somewhere suitable to stay! It’s a friendly city, especially busy with tourists during the summer months, but also one of the most romantic city’s during winter. Many groups come to Edinburgh to experience exciting hen nights and top stag nights, so don’t be surprised if you bump into a few party groups out celebrating!

There’s a massive choice of things to do! You could learn how to pole dance or take a class in Burlesque dancing, you could hire the party bus or book your VIP entry into some of Edinburgh’s top nightclubs. For something more energetic, why not try white water rafting, paintballing or even take part in the exclusive event of The Highland Games (well, you are in Scotland!). Don’t forget there is always Edinburgh’s famous shops too, so you could always head into town for some retail therapy.
Thankfully the city has a wealth of nightlife, keeping not only the university students happy but also the stag and hen parties! Edinburgh of course is famous for its Scotch whiskey and you will find that many pubs and bars sell it by the glass or half bottle. There are a handful of nightclubs in Edinburgh and they are definitely worth going to when you want to have a few more celebratory drinks and a bit of a dance! Espionage nightclub is close to the Grassmarket. It has 5 floors of dance music, each room decked out with funky and cool designs. There are several bars and a different music theme on each level! The Hive Nightclub is great for exciting hen nights and has all types of music ranging from hip hop and rock to retro and indie music. If you fancy something a little trendier then head down to one of Prince William’s favourite hangouts - the Opal Lounge on George Street, where you can get a VIP table and sip champagne while you eye up the clientele!
